Audience Members "Blown Away" by Shen Yun in Boston

Shen Yun Performing Arts shows at the Opera House in Boston this weekend attracted a broad spectrum of society, including a well-known sports radio talk show host.

[Mr. Andelman, Sports Radio Talk Show Host]:
“It’s spectacular because the movements and the coordination, the teamwork. It reminds me really of a great football team.”

For many, New York-based Shen Yun was something of an education.

[Ms. Batch, Business Banker]:
“It was like I was in a history class trying to learn about Chinese culture and I really really liked it.”

[Mr. Filidzola, Engineer]:
“I think that Chinese culture is very rich. We have such a great respect for that for its rich culture. We like it a lot.”

[Ms. Moron, Dancer]:
“Definitely a new knowledge about Chinese traditional dance.”

Many audience members say they were excited by the show.

[Mr. Connetti, Orchard and Apple Processing Company Owner]:
“It really is good. I like it all. I like the music. I think the band’s great and the singers. The voices are just so powerful and nice. It’s just what I like. So I’m having a wonderful time as an old guy here. I’m just having a great day. I would like to see all the shows, all five of them. They did a beautiful job and it can’t be better.”

City of Malden Councilor Gary Christenson says he was blown away by Shen Yun.

[Gary Christenson, Councilor, City of Malden]:
“And I’m blown away by the performance. The person that I came with described what it was going to be like, but it’s much more than that now that I’m here. Very impressed.”

A local filmmaker said the performance came together beautifully.

[Mr. Sutherland, Independent Film Maker]:
“Just the little stories. It all came together beautifully. Everything did.”
